A Note From The Director
The 2024-2025 school, year promises to be one of the best yet for the McClatchy VAPA Music Program. The program is growing! The ensembles are larger, many specialty coaches have joined the group, and new performance opportunities like the guitar studio ensemble have been added. Perhaps the most notable sign of growth is the addition of Mr. Nico Peruzzi as the program’s second teacher. It is an exciting time for the program as it ushers in a new phase in its development.
Among the many exciting things happening this year are a Thanksgiving week trip to Disney World in Orlando, Florida, the return of the well-received Spring Soirée in March, and our combined concert series with local middle and high school groups, the Sacramento Pops Concert Band, and the Willamette University Choir from Salem, Oregon. In addition, this year’s guest artist series features the United States Coast Guard Band, The Sacramento Ballet, The Chamber Music Society of Sacramento, and our friends from the Camellia Symphony Orchestra, the Sacramento Pop Choir, and Tuba Christmas.
See you at the shows,
